The owners lived abroad throughout the design and renovation. To prevent key choices being improvised on site, the project established an agreed layout, furniture and lighting plans, and clear references for materials and visible details before implementation.
The existing finishes, services and connections between rooms no longer matched the family's needs. The attic was separate from the apartment and had no usable role in the home.
The owners approved concrete design stages rather than style images alone. The existing plan, furniture layout, functional zones and intended lighting points gave the owners, designer, local technician and contractors a shared visual reference.
The family's routines, desired atmosphere and priorities were discussed remotely and translated into a spatial brief.
Functional options were developed around the local conditions. The agreed spatial solution then went to the appointed geometra as the basis for the reserved technical work.
Furniture, kitchen, bathrooms, materials, colours and lighting were reviewed through plans, views and visual references before approval.
Olga knew the result agreed with the owners and represented that design intent with the people carrying out the work. During agreed site visits, visible materials, positions, tile layout, lighting and connections were compared with the interior-design documents; differences were documented and raised for clarification without requiring the owners to travel.
The dated rooms became one coherent holiday home with three bedrooms, a separate kitchen, living and dining area and two balconies. A new private stair connects the main bedroom to the formerly unused attic, now an intimate retreat.
For design matters, Olga Design worked on the owners' side: the benchmark was the agreed result, not the quickest or easiest site solution. Olga compared visible work with the interior-design documents, recorded differences and represented the intended solution. The appointed geometra and site professionals remained responsible for technical development, statutory site supervision, safety, execution and technical acceptance.
An initial assessment can begin entirely online. The design then becomes a clear visual benchmark for implementation. Where on-site aesthetic assistance is included, you have someone who knows that benchmark, recognises visible differences and represents your position — reducing uncertainty and last-minute decisions under site pressure.

Purchased by an American family as their holiday home, the apartment occupies the top floor of a building with colonial character, a short walk from the centre of Riva del Garda.
Its dated interiors were completely reimagined to create a comfortable, functional and contemporary retreat.
A light foundation, natural wood and dark accents shape an interior that feels both clean and welcoming. The project also brought the previously unused attic into the home: a new private staircase creates a direct connection, turning the exposed timber structure into the character of an intimate relaxation space.
